Hi, My name is Allison. I was drawn to TLC because they embody 2 things I am passionate about, getting to work with children and help make an impact as well. I was also drawn to TLC because they promote a working environment where I can continue to grow and learn myself. I not only have always wanted to work with children, but I also wanted to be a part of a team that values patience, positivity, and progress and I am so excited to be somewhere that makes a real difference for both the kids and their families everyday as well.
My goal is to crease a welcoming, warm and positive space where children, families and coworkers feel supported and valued. I want people to remember me as kind, optimistic, and approachable! My mission in life is to “color the world with kindness”! I also live be “treat everyone with kindness because you never know what they’re going through”, which is a mindset that I try to bring into every aspect of my life. Being kind is powerful!
I grew up playing sports (softball, track & field, cross country) so I’m a very active person! I also love the outdoors and enjoy camping trips and road trips with my family. Som eof my favorite placed I have visited are in Michigan Upper Peninsula, Gatlingburg Tennessee, and Ontario Canada. When I’m not outside or in Downtown Detroit watching baseball or hockey, I spend time at home with my family and cat cider, or with my boyfriend Justin. I love to cook, read, color, and play board games as well.
In May 2025, I graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors of Arts in Psychology, and my studies/courses were focused on child development.
If there is one thing I hope families feel when they meet me, it’s that their child is not only cared for, but is encouraged and celebrated for exactly who they are.
