Taylor Matt, COTAL

Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

Taylor Matt

My name is Taylor Matt and I am an occupational therapy assistant at The Center for TLC. I graduated from Macomb Community College with my Occupational Therapy Assistant Associate of Applied Science degree. This is my first job as a COTAL and I could not be more grateful to be accepted into such a wonderful and caring interprofessional team, as well as grow in my knowledge and career.

I have always wanted to work with kids to create a positive impact in their lives. Each day is a new and exciting learning experience. It’s a beautiful thing to learn about the specific goals and interests in each child’s life and to be able to turn that into a fun learning experience for the child to gain confidence and independence in important life skills. My goal is to help each child feel proud, safe, and confident in their own skin through listening, teaching, compassion, and advocacy.

In my free time, I enjoy outdoor activities, trying new food, going to concerts, and spending time with family and friends. For my future, I strive to never stop learning, and to continue to spread kindness in any way that I can.
