Hello! My name is Julia and I am a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)! I have worked in this field since 2020 where I started as a behavior technician eventually becoming a registered behavior technician. That experience fueled my passion and love for this work and inspired me to continue my education to become a BCBA. I earned my bachelor’s degree in psychology from Oakland University which I then pursued my Masters degree in the Science in Applied Behavior Analysis at Capella University.
One of the things I value the most in this field is being a part of a passionate and driven team all working towards a common goal- helping each client thrive! At TLC, I thoroughly enjoy collaborating with other professionals and learning different perspectives to better serve our kiddos and families! I feel so grateful to be a part of such a supportive determined group!
I believe that each child deserves to feel heard, understood, and respected and I strive to follow each child's lead while supporting their growth. My goal is to promote autonomy and to create a positive, supportive environment where children can build skills through activities they enjoy, develop confidence, and learn to advocate for themselves in ways that feel authentic to them! I am a firm believer in following a child-led approach and finding ways we can work on skills within the natural environment.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my husband, our two cats (Muffin and Biscuit), and our 6 month old puppy (Winnie). I love playing volleyball, pickleball, and being outdoors whenever possible.
